Aguntok on RTV Bangla is one of the most popular TV series in Bangladesh. These soap opera has more than 104 episodes. Written by Pantho Shahriar and directed by Shahiduzzaman Selim, the series has been produced under the banner of Dream Factory. The cast includes Helal Khan, Zahid Hassan, Tania Ahmed, Rossy Siddiqui, Fima, Intekhab Dinar, Sharmili Ahmed and Masud Ali Khan. Aguntok is about a village man, Ator Ali. He is a BA graduate and moves to Dhaka in search of a better future, dreams to find a good job and enjoy life. The story revolves around his relationship with the city. As time passes, the simple village guy becomes a city man. Apart from the story and cast, the viewers will find a new element in the series - the most of the shooting has been done outdoors.
