Close Up 1 is organized in a concept that has become very popular in the whole world in the past year or so. It is supported by television and lasts for approximately five months (television show continues for approximately four months).
Around 200 participants of Close Up 1 chosen from the audition came to a central location in Dhaka where they have to undergo a number of rounds to prove their singing talent. Each successive round will demand more skill and better performance from the participants.

The Close Up 1 team with Tomakei Khujchhey from Bangladesh went all over the nation, covered both urban and rural parts and searching for the "singer of the nation", choosing him from thousands of different kinds of contestants and came to the understanding that the passion for music and singing transcends all age, class and gender.
It has also been found that the youth feel the lack of platform to prove their talent. Thus, this year's Close Up 1 gives the youth a great chance and a wonderful opportunity to prove themselves.
