Kalki is a
dynamic young woman. Orphaned at the age of 18, Kalki takes up the
responsibility of running the family that includes her little sister,
Anjali. The experience shapes her and moulds her into a fine
personality. Her carefree world changes when she marries her beloved
Mano, from an affluent family, much against the wishes of his
relatives. Problems arise when Anjali comes and stays with Kalki.
With the support of Mano, Kalki deals
with the situation cleverly. And then there is a sudden change in
Mano's attitude. She faces a lot of problems and the serial shows how
she tackles these problems.
Kalki series starcast
famous Indian actress, plays the leading role in this series. Abishek,
Vivek, Y. Vijaya, Mano, M.S. Viswanathan, Gandhimathi, A.R.S., Geetha,
Pooja and others are in the starcast. The other credits are story by
Khushboo Sundar, screenplay and dialogue by Subha Venkat, and
cinematography by Madasamy. Vijay has scored the title song sung by
Hariharan. Directed by K.Natraj, the serial is aired on Jaya TV from
Monday to Fridays.
Khushboo, who is 41 and now a
mother of two daughters, earned tremendous fan following in the early
90s "because she deftly portrayed the role of an ordinary Tamil girl",
says Shobha Warrier, a film writer. Khushboo has herself successfully
effected the transition from that of being a heroine to the housewife
on the screen.
