Prensa Libre is a popular political programme on America TV. Due to its interviews with influential people, the programme gives in-depth coverage of political news and teaches its viewers to learn about events beyond the headlines. Prensa Libre is hosted by Rosa Maria Palacios. About America TVAmerica Television, better known as America TV, is a Peruvian television network. It was founded in December 15th 1958 by Antonio Umbert F., Nicanor Gonzalez V. and Avelino Aramburu, then in 1992 America TV was bought by the Televisa Group, that ran all operations on the station for almost a decade until the fall of Fujimori's term, when the station was again purchased by El Comercio Group and La República Group. America TV is the most watched television station in Peru with a lot of successful, popular and attractive programmes, for example, daily morning shows such as Laura Huarcayo's “Lima Limon”. America TV also produces popular soap operas such as "Luz Maria" and "Asi Es La Vida", and it has produced a reality show "El Reto del Inca" that was given award from a million of souls.
