R-music on RTV Bangla is a popular weekly music talk-show. Its host is a successful musician Ayub Bachchu. Every programme he invites a singer and chats with this guest about famous songs from the singer's repertoire. R-music is broadcast on Sunday since April, 2006. About Ayub BachchuAyub Bachchu is a famous Bangladeshi rock musician and one of the leading guitarists in the country. Born on the 16th of August at Chittagong, Bangladesh, he was initially a member of the band "Feelings". Later he joined the band "Souls" as a leading guitarist. Finally, he formed his own band named "LRB". The acronym originally came from "Little River Band", but since another band had already had that name, Bachchu changed it to "Love Runs Blind". "LRB" is the first band in a Bangladeshi Band history to release two double albums. It is well-known for his distinctive headgear and guitars. Though Ayub Bachchu started out his guitar carrier with a Korean guitar named Hondo, now he owns a number of Ibanez, Fender and Acoustic guitars. Even though he started as a Rock musician, he eventually branched out to the most mainstream music of Bangladesh. Nevertheless, Ayub Bachchu has contributed heavily to the development of Bangladeshi Rock Music. About RTV BanglaRTV Bangla is a satelite TV station with a blend of programmes for all sort of viewers. The channel broadcasts live news bulletins, talk-shows, drama serials, feature films, musical programmes and religious programmes that suit various tastes. It began its official transmission on December 26, 2005. |
