Galaxy Television, with license number 001 is not only the first registered Private Television Station in Nigeria, but is also the first station to come on air to broadcast. In May 1994, Galaxy Television started broadcasting from the hills of Oke-Are, Ibadan with 10 kilowatts Aerodyne transmitter and since then, the business of television has witnessed a total transformation. The revolution and transformation gave birth to our second station Galaxy Lagos UHF channel 27. The station was purely a product of demand by our viewers that we extended our services to the center of excellence, which now gave birth to Galaxy Lagos in January, 2002. |
